Day 82 - Disneyland Paris
Today was so fun! I have to preface this and then I'll try not to bring this up again. The rides at Disneyland are really fun, but they did not produce any adrenaline in me. I really do not understand why people bash Lagoon so much because the rides there are so much more intense and they actually cause adrenaline (the Rocket, Colossus, etc). I suppose people say it is lame because there is no theme whereas Disneyland is so very theme oriented. I can understand this position. But seriously, Lagoon is still pretty great. :) En tout cas...
Wish I could have had a picture with me, but it's all good. From the left: Todd, Miro, Mathilde, Carter, and Hanna. At Walt Disney Studios, we went on three rides. First, we went on the Tower of Terror! It was so much fun! I really liked this one. I did actually feel a little bit of adrenaline of this one. Then we went to Armageddon: les Effets Spéciaux (the special effects). It was awesome! Then off to the Rock 'n' Roller Coaster. This was pretty cool, but it was all in the dark. This situation seriously cuts down on the adrenaline. When on an open-air roller coaster, you can see how far down you are plummeting, but when you are in the dark, you don't know so you don't feel the adrenaline. Oh well! It was still awesome :)
Then off to the main park. We went on Pirates of the Caribbean. It was really fun! I was told that it is almost identical to the one in California, so if you've been there, you know what it is like. The pirates were pretty cool. While we were on this ride, Todd kept splashing me with water! What a silly boy. Then off to Indiana Jones, which we had a wonderous fast pass for. It was fun! Apparently the one in California is a ride like Pirates, but the one here is a roller coaster. It was cool and it was open-air. Phantom Manor was next. After waiting in line, we were shuffled into a room. We were told a little story and then the room appeared to be moving downwards, but it was just a special effects thing. It was really cool. Then we were shuffled out. I thought that was it. It was cool, but really? We had waited a good 45 minutes for it! Todd and Hanna didn't help this situation out because they kept telling me that that was all there was to it. But they were just teasing because we got into little seats next and started the real ride. Friends, gotta love 'em. Anyway, the ride was pretty cool. I liked it. It was in the same style as Pirates. Then off to Space Mountain. It was also in the dark, but there were stars and nebulas all around, which was really cool. I don't know if I got a large seat or something, but my head kept banging against the sides of the chair and it was quite painful. But still very fun. I have to keep saying this because sometimes people think that complaining is equivalent to saying that you didn't like it, but that is not the case at all. I'm just commenting on the ride :)
After this (or somewhere around this general time), we got some lunch. I brought mine so I popped a squat at one of the tables inside of the Cowboy Cookout Barbecue. There was a little band playing (we found out later that the band consisted of an American, a Brit, and a Frenchie). After we ate, Hanna and Todd went up and started swing dancing. It was really fun to watch them!
Then we walked through Sleeping Beauty's castle. Here are some pictures of that.

Also, there is a super ritzy hotel that is right at the entrance of the park. It looks like the doll house that my sister Mel had when we were young. I think so anyway and I like it.
Then we went on the Thunder Mesa Riverboat Landing. We got on a large boat and basically went around the Big Thunder Mountain island. It was really pretty! They had fake moose and real geese :) It was fun. Then we waited in a HUGE line to get on Big Thunder Mountain! But it was so worth it. Hanna and I screamed our lungs out just because it was so much fun! This particulary roller coaster goes under the water! It was really cool. Pitch black, obviously, but very cool to be going super fast under water! It was getting pretty dark by this time, but we decided to continue on and get our money's worth! We went on Space Mountain again and it was even better this time! Hanna and I killed our voices through screaming and it was amazing! Then we did Buzz Lightyear Laser Blast! haha It was great! I got 86,400 points! Ah it was so much fun! I had a wonderful day and it was so worth it! Some crazy pictures to end with :)
