Day 48 - Yop

We had extra time again this morning so I took my time at breakfast. It was lovely. Then I helped Tabitha figure out zoo information. We worked with a very funny guy at the front desk. He told us that he learned English when he was very young (but evidently stopped working on it because it was rather broken) and he teacher taught him that "close but no cigar" meant you're welcome. Haha. Not even close. What Tabitha really wanted to know from him was if the zoo had aye-ayes. After laughing because he thought she was joking, he began imitating a kangeroo. So we didn't get any information from him, but it was quite entertaining :)

Then off to the Rodin museum for class. Martha talked to us outside then gave us two freewrites for the inside. I love this museum.

After eating lunch in the gardens, we walked to the d'Orsay for our next lecture series.

Couldn't take pictures inside of course. But we did see some very famous works. Then she let us loose to do two freewrites. It was pretty awesome. Afterwards, several of us went to Kalisha's apartment. She is an intern from BYU working at Versailles. Anyway, we had crepes with nutella, bananas, and strawberries. It was quite delicious. So we sat there and listened to Martha getting super passionate about the BYU Rodin controversy and other things. Very entertaining and interesting.

Then we walked back to the metro and went back to the hotel. Instead of going to bed, I had an enjoyable time chatting with Shamra, Tabitha, and Elisabeth. At one point, I went to unplug something and got shocked. I screamed and concerned the others. It was pretty scary for a minute, but it really wasn't bad at all. Eventually, we got so hyper that we started creating monsters. Oh it was hilarious.
Our monsters :)

Making the faces of our monsters!
Getting even more into it. Yeah... it was late.
