Day 47 - Night Appointment at the Louvre

I slept in a tiny bit this morning because we didn't have class this morning. Then several of us made our way to Villa Savoie by Le Corbussier in Poissy, which is just outside of Paris. It was really cool!It would be awesome to have a house like that, so open to nature. Except at night...

Back to the city. I used some internet at the hotel because it was free today. Apparently, something was broken? I don't know why it was free but why question blessings? Then a couple of us went to Viagio to grab some dinner. Love that place. Then to the Louvre for class!
We pretty much ran through everything ancient, but it was really good. Gotta love the Louvre; I can never get sick of it. We saw a couple things that I hadn't seen yet.

Then back to the hotel on RER C. We were sitting next to these adorable girls playing hand games :) So fun. Once back at the Etap, I used some more internet. Love the internet. And that's about it for today!

Day 21 - Class, Louvre, FHE

Class was good today. I had French 102 and Religion. Not bad. After that, I headed to the Louvre with Haley and Chelsea. I didn't bring my SLR with me because it wouldn't fit, so I took my point and shoot. Wow. What a difference. I knew I loved my SLR, but not I really love my SLR! I didn't take any good pictures, but I'll tell you that I did see Charles I Dismounted by Van Dyck. That was pretty exciting. I love to see paintings that I recognize. After we chilled at the Louvre for a while, we headed out (well, we lost Chelsea and found Richard) to the Ricks' place. We were a little early so we went to see the Eiffel Tower. We saw it all lit up. It was pretty awesome. Then off to the Ricks'. We played a charade-type game for FHE and it was a lot of fun. I really enjoyed myself. Baby Benji

My sister Rachel had her baby boy Benjamin earlier this morning. This is the 19th time I've been an aunt. And I still absolutely adore it. I get just as excited with each birth. He's a new life. He's a miracle. I love children. With Benjamin and Abi, his oldest sister. I love her face in this one! Isn't he just adorable? Look at that hair! Oh I love him :)
