Day 37 - Versailles: the public and the private

French was good today. After grabbing some lunch, we headed to art class at Versailles. It was amazing! We looked at the rooms that everyone can see, but we were able to venture into places that only the curators get to see! Some of the places we saw will probably never be seen by the public. It was awesome!

I don't know how I missed this last time we were here, but this is opposite the Marie-Antoinette painting. It is Henry XIV. Love it.
French order. It has roosters on the sides and fleur des lis.

Where the bathtub went.

This picture is a little trippy!
Yep, the general public is not allowed in here!

Meridian of Versailles.

The Queen's bed. Nineteen royal children were born here. Marie-Antoinette slept here.

Book door :) Marie-Antoinette had it made, I believe. I think it is awesome.
First portrait of a pineapple in France :)

The oldest stairs in all of Versailles!

It was a long day, but it was great! Chartres tomorrow!
