Day 3 - Arc du Triomphe

The Arc du Triomphe. Although I use it in every post, I don't hesitate to say it once more - Amazing. I wish I remembered more of the history behind it. Oh well.

There are four of these sculptures on the arch, but this is the most famous one.
Around the arch, there is a roundabout. It has 6 "lanes," all of which are unmarked, and it opens onto twelve streets. Marine, the girl who is also staying here but it not part of the family, said that there are so many accidents that occur here that insurance won't cover people while they are driving on this roundabout. Crazy! I tried to get a good picture of it, but this is the best I was able to get. You really have to see it to understand how insane it is.

I told you the roundabout around the Arc du Triomphe was insane! You need to drive around it at least once while you are there. It is an experience I will never forget! :o)
I guess they don't want to mark up the cobblestones. I can't imagine how crazy people must be to even attempt to drive in it.
