Fire!

Image
My Favorite Things #25/365 So I am a little bit of a pyromaniac, but I keep it under control, obviously. I would never light a fork on fire inside of a building with no water on hand. Never!

The Neighbor's Cat

Image
My Favorite Things #24/365 So I thought my cat Oliver was fat. That was until I saw the Moore's cat Squeaky. The Moore's have been our next-door neighboor's for as far back as I remember. I think they have always had this cat Squeaky, again, as far back as I can remember. Well, I hadn't seem him for a while, so I thought he'd gone the way of all cats. However, I was mistaken. One day when I was taking Minni out, this huge cat came ambling over to me. Wow. I think he is very impressive; don't you? These pictures don't even do justice. If you could see and feel this cat in person, then you would realize how fat this cat is!!

Teaching Primary

Image
My Favorite Things #23/365 A couple of weeks ago, I got called to be the Primary teacher to one of the CTR 6 classes. This class is ALL boys. Growing up with mostly girls and having so many nieces did not prepare me for these boys! They are quite a handful, but they are a lot of fun. They are very frustrating, but what keeps me from boiling over is that they can always make me smile :)

"Cheating"

My Favorite Things #22/365 So I'm not that good at coming up with a favorite thing every day. However, by clicking on Post Options, I can change the date. So, I can make sure I do a post for every day, even if I don't exactly do it on that day :)

Books with Character

Image
My Favorite Things #21/365 I love books with character. A book in perfect condition shows me a book that hasn't been read or properly loved. Not that I purposely demolish my books, but I don't mind when they get banged up a little. The remote was the only thing I could think of to prop the book up... I actually haven't read this book very much yet, but it already has character. I put it up on my bookshelf right after I got it and when I woke up the next morning, Oliver has dragged it off the shelf by the corner. It's a good thing I do like character or that would have made me really mad!

Cross-stitching and Embroidery

Image
My Favorite Things #20/365 During my sophomore year in high school, I took a needle arts class. Among other things, I learned how to do cross-stitching and embroidery. I really like doing it when I have the time; it is very relaxing.

Sunsets

My Favorite Things #19/365 They are beautiful! Enough said :)

Getting ready for Aarynn and Lily

Image
My Favorite Things #18/365 Next Thursday, two of my nieces, Aarynn and Lily, will be coming to stay at my house for about a month and a half. I'm very excited! We are going to have a lot of fun together. This is a great opportunity for us to bond. Both girls will be staying in my bedroom (I have three beds in there; I don't really know why, but I do). So I've been doing some cleaning. The area that needed cleaning the most was the bed I don't sleep on and is not under the bed I sleep on (I have a trundle bed). I had a lot of my stuff piled on this bed. I wish I had taken a before picture. I think the bed looks great! It is now ready to be slept in!

Harry Potter on CD

Image
My Favorite Things #17/365 One day I was listening to the radio as I was driving in my car. I realized that while I liked some songs that played, most of the songs on the radio did not interest me. This is when I decided to start listening to Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince on CD. It is great! Jim Dale is a fantastic reader and, of course, JK Rowling is a fantastic writer! I finished it much quicker than I planned (I wanted to finish it right when the movie came out, which doesn't happen until July!) so I started listening to the seventh book. I'm over half way done with that now. Next, I think I will listen to LOTR on CD. I love reading books, but sometimes, like when you are driving or cleaning your room, you can't read, so it is a great alternative to listen to the books, at least I think so!

My New Bike

Image
My Favorite Things #16/365 This fall, I will be moving to Provo to attend BYU . I chose the cheapest on-campus housing, Wyview Park apartments. The only downside about this choice is that it is the farthest on-campus housing. It isn't terribly far, just over a mile away, but I didn't want to walk that everyday. So my mom bought me a bike! I haven't been able to ride it yet, but I will soon. I love it. It is designed for women. The handles are made especially for women and the bar which is usually straight across is curved down quite low. So I could even wear a skirt while riding it; I don't know that I will, but I could :). I love the color. It is a bright blue; very pretty. I'm excited to become acquainted with my bike this summer so I'll be ready to ride it every day in the fall!

New Clothes on Sale

Image
My Favorite Things #15/365 My sister Stephanie called me up the other day. She told me that Aeropostle had a corner in their store where everything was 70% off the already marked down prices. Of course, I had to get in on this great deal! I got six shirts, two pairs of jeans (not pictured; they are just regular jeans), and two great jackets. I ended up saving over $100! Pretty good deal if you ask me! The third shirt has purple, blue, and white colored wings that are the same style as the first shirt in the second picture. The third shirt in this picture is very interesting. They put all the coloring on the inside of the shirt, but they made it mostly see-through at the places where the color was so it would show through. I really like it! These jackets have the best hood! The hood has two thick layers to keep moisture out better and it is huge so it covers my head completely. Also, the color of the jacket starts light at the top and gets darker in color, as you can see. I really like...

Powerade

Image
My Favorite Things #14/365 As soon as I receive my SSN card in the mail, I will be able to go donate plasma. I am really excited to earn this extra money! One problem about donating plasma is that I never drink water so my veins are puny. What solved this problem? Powerade! I enjoy drinking powerade so it makes getting hydrated very easy. I have 7 different flavors so I shouldn't get bored. One of the 7 powerade flavors: Mountain Berry Blast

Senior Pictures

Image
My Favorite Things #13/365 My sister Kim took my senior pictures for me and did an amazing job, not that that comes as a surprise to any of us who know her. I'm glad that she was willing to do it for me because I really love them! Thanks Kim!

Growing Up

Image
My Favorite Things #12/365 I love to look at pictures of me when I was little and seeing how much I have changed. It's crazy how fast time flies. I'm almost 18 and a half years old!

Here are a couple of pictures at my graduation! Getting my picture taken Me in Graduation garb :)

Movie Reviews

If anyone is interested, I have created a blog where I will review movies. It is acmoviereviews.blogspot.com . I thought since I watch movies all the time, I might as well review them so others will know about them!

Redbox

Image
My Favorite Things #11/365 Redbox is a great machine! It is unfortunate that they stopped doing codes every monday, but they are doing it once a month during the summer. So we took advantage of that yesterday and got seven movies! We got Slumdog Millionaire, Yes Man, My Girl, The Visitor, Last Chance Harvey, Taken, and Quantum of Solace. Today will be a movie day for me!

My Old TV

Image
My Favorite Things #10/365 I love this TV. It is really old, but it runs perfect. A little dust is all that is wrong with it! How many people turn off the TV with the same dial that they turn up the volume with? The old dials :) I really only use the small knob on the left though.
